Are you like me and miss the hard guitar riffs of Rage Against The Machine? I’m going to let you in on something. RATM’s guitarist, Tom Morello, has teamed up with rapper Boots Riley to form a new group, Street Sweeper Social Club. I think you’re going to find the guitar more rhythmic than Morello’s previous bands. That doesn’t mean it’s bad. Quite the opposite. It’s still hard and has that signature sound that you love in RATM and Audioslave. Boots Riley’s cool rhymes fits in with Morello’s riffs very well. It’s definitely a great combo. I think “100 Little Curses” should be your first listen from their debut album. It’s what hooked me in. Plus, how could you not like that album cover? A machine gun boombox...awesome.
