Artist Spotlight: Dumbo Gets Mad
Genre: Psychedelic Rock
Junkies' Description:
Dumbo Gets Mad is definitely one of those artist names that sticks in your head. The phenomenal music you hear from Dumbo is made by just one guy, with occasional help from his lovely lady on vocals. It’s psychedelic rock with plenty of synth and echoing spacey sounds. The sounds and melodies of the songs he has composed have some real depth, which isn’t typical for most classic psychedelic rock. This guy is creating real gems here and it’s not to be unheard. As a side note, the song Sleeping Over may be one of the trippiest tracks that we have ever heard.

Official Bio:
Do you remember Dumbo hallucinating in the 1941 Disney’s masterpiece; pink elephants were parading like crazy, psychedelically dancing and singing? Yep, Dumbo Gets Mad!
It is a peculiar one-man project (with a little help from his girlfriend who sings on some tracks) born in the heat of this past Italian summer. He was influenced from many different artists such as Bibio, Gonjasufi, Flying Lotus, the Radio Dept, the United States of America, Ash Ra Tempel and Captain Beefheart. He experimented with old-fashioned stuff like analog synthesizers and tape machines. His uplifting inspiration led him to psychelicious noises and melodies, ended up finding this futuristic vintage sound yet to be classified!
The first song to come out of the hot recording sessions was Plumy Tale, positively reviewed around the blogosphere, followed by Eclectic Prawn, a very hype tune that will easily get stuck on the left side of your brain for days.
Dumbo Gets Mad is now releasing their first album « Elephants At The Door », 10 songs to keep you chilling on bad winter days like if you were on a sunny coast somewhere having the best summer of your damn life.
Bad Panda Records, a one-year-old creative commons record label, is proud to bring it to your ears; it’s a free download, just have to pay with a tweet!
