Fistful of Mercy is the supergroup trio of Ben Harper, Dhani Harrison (son of Beatle George Harrison), and Joseph Arthur. The group’s formation was first announced in August 2010 with the release of the single “Fistful Of Mercy” and performances in several record stores. Now their full album is finally here, and it is a superb folk record. It’s obvious that Dhani Harrison draws some influence from his father in Fistful Of Mercy (which is a good thing). This is most obvious on “In Vain Or True.” With the steel guitar and the vocal harmonies, this album is perfect to listen to on a lazy relaxed morning when you don’t have plans for the day.
