In Brothers, the Black Keys retain all of the crunchy blues rock that I love them for, but bring in a variety of new elements such as the pan flute and female backing vocals in some songs. But what makes this album truly great is the lyrics. When I listen to Brothers, I create a story around the mood and lyrics of the songs (by the way, another great album for this is Led Zeppelin II). I also love that the album is the perfect length to give you a Black Keys fix. It completely satisfies without being overkill.
