Tame Impala is a psychedelic rock band from Perth, Australia. From the beginning of their first full length record InnerSpeaker, the band’s signature multi-octave guitar leads pull you in, and then you are completely engulfed by waves of psychedelia and held captive for quite an experience. Kevin Parker’s vocals are drenched in reverb and echo, guitar chords swirl around your head, and the drumming is powerful. Tame Impala understands that psychedelia is about creating an experience, not a crutch used to whitewash over subpar songwriting and shoddy musician ship with a bucket of sludge.
