PassiveAgressiveNotes.com - Mean Mr. Mustard - Beatle-mania at Abbey Road
Abbey Road Studios is a must-see on almost any Beatles aficionado’s tour of London. Once there, a curious sort of tourist delirium seems to take hold. People feel absolutely compelled to recreate the iconic album cover, in the same way that visitors to Pisa just have to get a shot of of themselves holding up the leaning tower.
The only hitch? That famous zebra crossing actually goes across a fully functioning road — one with cars and buses holding people who, one would assume, have better things to do than watch you fiddle with your zoom lens.
Rachel in London was therefore more a little amused to see this note from a fellow local amongst the assorted “I <3 Paul” and “I am the Walrus”-type scrawls that cover the walls near the crossing. ”I love the drawing, as it’s so true,” Rachel says. “It’s just a crossing people!!! It’s not like the Beatles are coming back to see you do this!”
Interestingly, while the Beatles themselves aren’t likely to be watching, thanks to the existence of the (strangely hypnotic) 24-hour Abbey Road webcam, you can actually watch this idiocy as it happens — over and over and over again.
follow the link to see some pics of said idiocy: http://www.passiveaggressivenotes.com/2011/04/22/abbey-road/
I've been amusing myself with PassiveAggressiveNotes.com for the past few hours. Check it out.

Come to AlleGreen Music Festival with us this weekend!
AlleGreen is going down April 22-24 at Durhamtown in Union Point, Georgia!
We're pretty damn excited.
The music starts on Friday, but you can start setting up your campsite on Thursday. Because Mac is hosting trivia at Amici in Covington on Thursday night, we will be arriving on Friday morning.
It's hard to read the smaller names on the lineup poster here, but you can find all of the information about the festival on their website:

Bonnaroo 2011 Cafe Acts!
While we were at Wanee, Bonnaroo announced the 2011 Cafe acts. We couldn't wait to explore them when we got home!
To most people, Bonnaroo is all about the big names, but "Troo Music Lounge" has actually been one of our most favorite things about Bonnaroo in past years. We've seen a lot of great shows and discovered many of our favorite bands there."Cafe Where?" is also pretty cool.
The cafe acts we've been getting into this year: Gary Clark Jr., Aaron Wood, Cory Chisel & the Wandering Sons, Hesta Prynn, Infantree, Aunt Martha, the Band of Heathens, the Black Box Revelation,Walk the Moon, Civil Twilight, and, of course, LIONIZE!!!!
We just wish our friends in the Captain Midnight Band were there :-(

Robert Plant & the Band of Joy (check out how close we were!)
Dj Logic with special guest John Popper (of Blues Traveler)

Get Out Of My Life - Albatross
Junkies' Description:
Albatross is an Athens, Georgia-based rock band that creates a blend of blues, jam, and funk that comes from the soul. They play shows around Athens (Iris’s hometown) regularly, but they actually caught our ears on Facebook a while back. Albatross’s self-described genre on Facebook is “indescribable jazz/blues/funk/rock,” which I think is pretty accurate. If you must have a comparison, their sound is most similar to Back Door Slam and the Derek Trucks Band, and I can definitely hear the influence of the great Allman Brothers Band. The two live tracks included in the audio player above show you that Albatross can really jam!
If you’re digging their sound, go see them live some time or visit their Facebook and Myspace pages for more music.
Albatross is Dustin Urich on lead guitar and lead vocals, Matt Urich on lead guitar and backing vocals, Drew Hart on bass, and the lineup is completed with Scott Tracy on drums.
New Artist Spotlight: She Might Bite
Audio: Sinister Device
Sinister Device - She Might Bite
Junkies' Description:
The Kimes Sisters, Tara and Courtney, have put together some great tracks with a unique sound. Along with their drummer Kat, they’ve unleashed a blend of alternative folk and dirty garage style blues rock. Most of their tracks are rockin’, but their track “Empty” shows their folk side and shows the world that they can create a beautiful yet haunting song. If you’re a fan of The Kills or Jack White, these three ladies have songs for you that will fit right in with your collection.Learn more & hear the rest of their self-titled EP here:

Awesome Spongebob remix video: "I Wumbo'd You A Song (extended)"
This guy did a great job remixing my favorite Patrick moment.
Mac is finally 21! But what does that mean for The Music Junkies?
WE CAN NOW BOTH GO TO ANY SHOW ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To celebrate, we're seeing Mishka at Smith's Olde Bar in Atlanta tomorrow with Mac's parents. And in case you were wondering, yes I got Mac drunk at the Pointe in the wee hours of his birthday morning.
All of the "21 and up" bullshit doesn't personally affect us anymore, but that doesn't mean we don't still hate it for all of the other music fans out there who can't see their favorite bands because of their age.

via Thought Catalog: "Is Paul McCartney As Big A Tool As We Always Thought? YES." by Anthony Cristofani
There are two kinds of people” arguments usually strike me as cheeky and stale. But there is one incontestable version of the formulation: there are two types of people in the world—those who prefer Paul McCartney and those who prefer John Lennon.Read the rest of this piece from Thought Catalog. What are your thoughts?
Personally, I have to disagree. See, I'm a bit partial to Paul because I had a crush on him when I was 5. Don't call Paul a tool, man!
I'm being silly as usual, but the article is well-written and the discussion on it gets pretty heated.

Artist Spotlight: The Fuzz
Genre: Blues Rock, Garage Rock
Junkies' Description:
Brand new rock duo the Fuzz are Todd Bruhnsen on guitar and lead vocals and Jason Bombach (of Nameless) on drums and backing vocals. They play loud, manic garage rock you can really groove to. And, you guessed it, there’s plenty of fuzz to be found in their sound. Todd plays some awesome guitar riffs and solos and delivers vocals with the right amount of edge. Jason’s expertly delivered drumming drives the music as there is no bassist, and his backing vocals complete the elements of this energetic, catchy rock band. Special note: the introduction to the Liverspot Lucy video is hysterical and we think you should watch it.
